Senior Cloud Engineer

Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Full-Time $150,000 – $185,000

Lead complex cloud infrastructure engagements for enterprise clients on AWS, designing resilient architectures and delivering migrations end-to-end.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture design sessions and Well-Architected reviews for client environments

Execute cloud migration projects across multiple client engagements simultaneously

Write and review infrastructure-as-code in Terraform and/or AWS CDK

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge base

Collaborate directly with client engineering leaders and executives

Produce architecture decision records, runbooks, and post-migration documentation

Requirements

7+ years software/infrastructure engineering experience

5+ years hands-on AWS experience across EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda, VPC

AWS Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent certification strongly preferred

Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK for infrastructure-as-code

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (VPC, TGW, Direct Connect, VPN)

Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare) a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication — you will present architecture to C-suite stakeholders
