Cloud Engineering Intern

Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Internship (Summer) $28 – $34/hour

A hands-on summer internship for CS/CE students passionate about cloud infrastructure. You will contribute to real client deliverables under the mentorship of senior architects.

Responsibilities

Assist senior engineers with infrastructure-as-code development and testing

Research and prototype new AWS service integrations and automation opportunities

Contribute to internal tooling and the Skygate Advisors knowledge base

Shadow client architecture reviews and contribute to documentation

Complete 2–3 structured learning projects with formal presentations at end of internship

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Foundational AWS knowledge — AWS Cloud Practitioner certification preferred or in progress

Programming proficiency in Python, Go, or TypeScript

Familiarity with Linux, networking fundamentals, and Git

Strong written communication skills — you will document your work

Genuine enthusiasm for cloud technology and distributed systems
